This week’s episode of the British Horror Sci-Fi show breaks breathtaking new ground regarding one of the most important dilemmas a person can face. As always, it is nothing short of genius.

The episode opens up with a scene most people should be familiar with. A man spends twenty minutes wandering through the vacuum aisle of a department store. Occasionally he will look over his shoulder to see if he is by himself, despite the fact every episode is about mass-surveillance anyway.

After several hot and steamy moments of reading the features on the back of the boxes, the man finally makes his decision and settles on a Roomba. The cashier recognizes him as the guy who buys and returns vacuums weekly, and cashes him out.

The next thirty minutes are when things really get good. The episode ends with the man delivering a monologue in the parking lot to the viewer. Some of the standout quotes include, “you should never, ever fuck your Roomba. And believe me, it wants to fuck.” and “really, I don’t understand how this whole thing would work, but you should never be tempted to try.”

Black Mirror doesn’t offer any answers about the dilemma presented in the show. The episode instead shows us the unsettling dilemmas we may face one day due to our growing dependence on technology.

Update: OW! UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHOULD YOU FUCK YOUR ROOMBA. SOMEBODY SEND HELP.
